Wine Folly
Page 88 of Wine Folly characterized cabernet sauvignon wines with flavors of dark fruit and other spicy, woody notes. I got a lot of black cherry, which was one of the two named fruits. I also got chocolate and some cedary, spicy notes.
Personal Review
This wine had a very strong aroma that consisted primarily of cherry, with some other red fruit like raspberry and a chocolatey undertone. The flavor shifted focus away from raspberry and onto chocolate, but left the primary focus on cherry. It was also rather tannic and had some wood and spice notes. I thought it was a nice dark red wine, especially for $13.
